Live photo wall

A live photo wall for your wedding or party

A wedding photo wall is a TV or projector showing your guests’ photos and messages as they’re added. With Rembr, guests scan a QR code, add their pictures, and they appear on the wall moments later, in a design that suits your day.

What is a wedding photo wall?

It’s a screen at the reception that turns guests’ phone photos into a live slideshow. Instead of waiting weeks to see what people captured, you and your guests watch the pictures arrive while the party is still going.

Rembr’s wall isn’t a plain slideshow. It has designed looks such as floral, editorial, scrapbook, spotlight, cascade and cinematic, with polaroid-style frames, message cards and full-screen moments. It can show its own QR code on screen so more guests join in through the evening.

How to show wedding guest photos on a TV

1. Make a gallery and choose a wall design

Add your names and pick a look. You can change it at any time, including during the event.

2. Get the wall onto the screen

The wall is a web page, so any smart TV, laptop or projector with a browser can show it. Open your Video Wall link on it, or use Rembr’s TV pairing page at rembr.co.uk/tv, which shows a six-digit number on the TV that you enter on your phone.

3. Guests scan and add photos

Photos and messages appear on the wall as they’re added. Guests need no app or account.

4. Keep everything afterwards

Every photo on the wall is in your gallery to download.

Reception setup checklist

A few things to check before the day so the wall runs smoothly:

  • Pick the screen: a TV, a projector, or a laptop connected to either. If the screen has a browser, you can open the wall on it directly.
  • Connecting a laptop: if you use a laptop, connect it to the screen with an HDMI cable (or whichever video connection your screen and laptop share), or cast your browser tab if your screen supports casting.
  • Internet: the screen needs an internet connection to fetch new photos. Ask the venue about their Wi-Fi, or use a laptop on a hotspot as a back-up. Guests can upload over their own mobile data.
  • Test beforehand: try the wall in the room, with a couple of photos from your own phone, and check it’s visible from the dance floor and the tables.
  • Put the QR code in reach: table cards and a sign by the screen. See Printables.
  • Plan for the Video Wall: it’s part of the paid plans. Free galleries can preview it for a short time. Check Plans & pricing for what each plan includes.
  • Keep control: from your phone you can change the design, pause the wall, or hide a photo, and it disappears from the wall.

Does Rembr work on a projector?

Yes. The wall is a web page, so it works on a projector as long as the projector is fed from something that can open it: a laptop, a streaming stick, or a projector with its own browser. Dim rooms suit projectors best, so check the picture while the lights are at party level.
