Audio guest book

A wedding audio guest book, with no phone to hire

An audio guest book collects spoken messages from your guests, to keep and replay. Rembr does it on guests’ own phones: they scan a QR code, hear the greeting you recorded, and leave a voice message. There’s no phone to hire, post out or send back.

What is a wedding audio guest book?

A traditional guest book is a book of signatures and notes. An audio guest book swaps the pen for a voice: guests say a few words, and you end up with a collection of recordings that capture the laughter, the in-jokes and the people’s own voices.

Many couples hire a vintage-style phone for this. Guests lift the handset, hear a greeting, and leave a message after the beep. It’s a lovely idea, and Rembr offers a way to do the same without the hardware.

How it works with Rembr

1. Record your greeting

Say hello in your own words, in your browser. Listen back and re-record as often as you like.

2. Share the QR code

Put it on a sign by the bar, on the tables, or in your invitations for people who can’t make it. Free templates are on Printables.

3. Guests leave a message

They scan, tap Voice message, hear your greeting, then speak after the beep. No app, no account.

4. Keep every message

Messages arrive in your gallery as they’re recorded, next to the photos and videos. Download them all to keep.

Hired audio guest book phone or Rembr?

A hired phone has its own charm, and some couples love the physical object. Here’s how the two compare, so you can choose what fits your day:

  • Where guests leave messages: a hired phone sits in one place and can build a queue; with Rembr guests use their own phone, wherever they are in the room.
  • Delivery and return: a hired phone is posted out and sent back; Rembr has nothing to post or return.
  • Your greeting: recorded in your browser, and you can change it any time.
  • More than voice: guests can also add photos, short videos and written messages.
  • Hearing them: messages appear in your gallery as they arrive, so you don’t wait for equipment to be returned.
  • If you’d like both: there’s nothing stopping you using a hired phone as a feature and Rembr to catch everyone else, including guests who can’t come.

Why couples choose it

No queue at the phone

Everyone can leave a message at the same time, when they’re ready.

Guests who can’t come

Send the link so their voice is part of the day too.

Video messages too

Guests can record a short video instead, or add photos and written wishes.

On the big screen

Messages and photos can play on the live Video Wall during the evening. See the wedding photo wall.

Frequently asked questions

What is a wedding audio guest book?

An audio guest book is a collection of spoken messages from your guests, usually left by phone or microphone, that you keep after the wedding. With Rembr, guests leave voice messages on their own phones by scanning a QR code.

Do I need to hire a phone for an audio guest book?

Not with Rembr. Guests use their own phones, so there’s no hardware to hire, post out or send back. Some couples still hire a vintage phone as a feature, and Rembr can sit alongside it.

Can guests leave voice notes via QR?

Yes. Guests scan your QR code, tap Voice message, hear the greeting you recorded, and speak after the beep. Their message goes straight into your gallery.

Do guests need an app?

No. It works in the browser on any phone, with nothing to install and no account to make.

Can I record the greeting myself?

Yes. Record it in your browser in a few seconds, listen back, and re-record whenever you like.

Can we download the messages?

Yes. Every voice message can be downloaded to keep, along with your photos and videos.
